Background and aim of study:
The modern world of education has been using remote communication tools for months to teach students in universities. It is no secret that the suddenness of general distance communication did not allow to use the opportunities of educational communication at a sufficient level. A modern student should be provided with all the materials as much as possible, mostly self- study, have the opportunity to listen to a lecture given at a high professional level, solve problems of practical or seminar work, perform laboratory work and more. And all this with the help of a teacher who provides information and materials remotely. Therefore, it seems very important the question of the mastery of higher education teachers' tools of remote communication, which provides modern technical development. The purpose of the study is theoretical and methodological substantiation of the role of skills of university teachers in the possession of distance communication tools to obtain high learning outcomes.
Research methods:
Theoretical and methodological principles of the study are expert and statistical methods, the method of analysis of hierarchies and a systematic approach.
Results:
Ukraine’s transition to quarantine has led to a partial or complete change in the normal course of study. The inability to move freely around the city, to attend universities, to meet friends are forced educators to look for alternatives. Yes, now the educational process is practically translated online, and one of the most popular services for this purpose is the Zoom application. It should be noted that long before the quarantine, students of Ukrainian universities had the opportunity for remote communication in the educational process. This feature is provided by Moodle. Today, Moodle is undoubtedly one of the most popular open source distance learning systems. Moodle offers students and faculty a variety of toolbars, the ability to track student progress, and multimedia support. The system allows you to create courses adapted for mobile phones, and is quite friendly to the integration of add-ons from third- party developers. The modern world offers many opportunities for both student and teacher. Here are some popular platforms in the world education system. For example, it’s ATutor. One of the most striking advantages of ATutor is the easy and clear interface that makes this system an ideal tool for those who are just beginning to master the world of e-learning. ATutor also offers the user a number of pre-installed themes that speed up the course creation process. And there are various evaluation tools, file backup, statistics and the ability to integrate surveys. The next system is Eliademy. It is important that this system is completely free for teachers. Eliademy offers e-learning course catalogs, assessment tools and even a mobile application for Android for those teachers who want to develop mobile courses. E-learning coordinators can easily and simply download courses and send invitations for students to their e-mail addresses. Another system is Forma LMS. Forma LMS has a fairly extensive set of available features, various certifications, competent leadership support, and a wide range of tools to manage a virtual classroom, including various calendars and event managers. This system is ideal for corporate training programs and offers access to an active online community, where you can find many useful tips on how to get the most out of this service. There are also such international services as: Dokeos, where you can find ready-made elements of academic disciplines; ILIAS, which can be used as a full-fledged platform for e-learning, thanks to the ability to communicate within the group and transfer and store all completed tasks. This system is absolutely free for all organizations engaged in e-learning, regardless of the number of users and is suitable for even the largest educational institutions; Opigno, where many opportunities are provided. Certificates, class schedules, forums, author's e-learning tools, grading system and video galleries, etc.
Conclusion:
But the best thing for a Ukrainian teacher in modern conditions seems to be the use of two systems in distance learning, which in their community create excellent learning conditions for students and teachers. It’s a great tandem are Moodle and Zoom. Creating conferences in Zoom gives the student the opportunity to listen to a lecture and ask questions, and the teacher – to create a full-fledged lesson, lecture or practical. Simultaneous use of the Moodle system allows not to limit students in information, scientific and other sources, to receive and execute tasks online. To the forefront to obtain such a synergistic educational effect is the need for the teacher to master the tools of both systems. Understanding the essence of all tools of remote communication and mastering the methods of their implementation is a leading factor in the success of training modern professionals.
